The Mandate of the  Mission

The Permanent  Mission of Botswana to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations at Geneva is charged with the responsibility to promote, protect and advance Botswana’s national interests and shared global values in multilateral fora, and on the other hand  it also  the  Embassy for Switzerland, Austria, Greece and Turkey. The Mission is tasked with promoting and maintaining excellent relations at all levels and pursuing avenues for trade and investment, technical and development cooperation, tourism, and strategic partnerships in all sectors in these territories. The Mission also promotes cultural cooperation and people-to-people interactions, and provides Consular Services which includes facilitation of the movement of people between Botswana and countries of accreditation, as well as overseeing the welfare of Batswana resident in these countries.
